SERRA GB

To foster and promote vocations to the ministerial priesthood in the Catholic Church as a particular vocation to service and to support priests in their sacred ministry;

To encourage and affirm vocations to the
consecrated religious life in the Catholic Church;

To assist members to recognise and respond
in their own lives to God's call to holiness
in Jesus Christ and through the Holy Spirit.

The Serran is a ' special friend' whom the Lord has brought into the lives of seminarians and priests.
(Pope Francis 23rd June 2017)

“Serrans accept as their responsibility the promotion of vocations to the priesthood and consecrated life. They possess a deep appreciation of the ministerial priesthood as being essential to the Church. Serrans have been generous in offering their support to those who hear the call to serve Christ in the priesthood.” - Saint Pope John Paul II .

Serrans are lay Catholics – men and women of all ages and from all walks of life: lawyers, doctors, teachers, accountants, business people, nurses, engineers, sales people, clerks, retirees and the Permanent deacons etc., all dedicated to promote and foster vocations.

The Board of Serra GB is responsible for the promotion of Serra in Great Britain by assisting the districts and clubs in their work of promoting vocations and by encouraging the formation of new clubs. The long term objective of Serra GB is to have a Serra club in every diocese in Great Britain.

Serra GB is the Serra National Council of Great Britain.
Serra International is the parent organization and as such sets the overall vision and direction of our apostolate.
